Dilijan - a world music ensemble from Jerusalem specializing in traditional Armenian music.

The ensemble's repertoire is rich and varied. The musicians perform sweeping folk dances, love songs and meditative secular and liturgical pieces written in different periods from the Middle Ages to the 20th century. Most of the pieces are arranged by the ensemble. During the performance all musicians change instruments. Among the instruments they play are authentic traditional instruments like the Armenian duduk - a

woodwind instrument similar to an oboe, with sound reminiscent of the human voice, an instrument which has become one of the national symbols of Armenia, blul - a long shepherd's flute made of apricot wood, several Middle-Eastern percussion instruments, oud and Persian setar.

The Diljan ensemble performed in many festivals in Israel: "Sounds in the Old City" and "Jazz Globus" in Jerusalem, Abu Gosh Festival, Wine Festival in JUDEAN PLAIN, and many more. In 2015-2016, the ensemble performed at the opening events of "Houses from Within" Festival (Jerusalem) and the opening of a ceramic exhibition in the Knesset building, and participated in concerts of the acclaimed singer Ashot Gasparian (Ensemble Voca People) at Habima Theater. In 2015 two members of the ensemble accompanied the legendary folk singer from Armenia, Hasmik Harutyunyan in two concerts in Israel. Dilijan members regularly play exhibitions openings organized by Mansohn House in Old Jaffa and Jerusalem, participate in many events of the Armenian community in Israel (Jerusalem and Petah Tikvah), and appear at private events.

Ensemble members include:

Miriam Dichter - vocals, darbuka
Ilya Mazia - Duduk, Blul
Dmitri Toperman - Setar, Oud, Cello
